Sue Sharples: Saving the junk to make jewellery.

Sue Sharples: Recycling to make jewellery.

Fusion Experiments

This bangle is one of many plastic bag & tissue fusion experiments. I've made similar rings & bracelets embellished with sequins & beads etc. I'm thinking to adopt this technique for panels in a victorian screen, which is waiting in the wings to be updated.

Saving the junk to make jewellery.

Inspired by doing a course at City Lit,
I'm currently making jewellery
from recycled materials
co-ordinated with objets trouvees and beads.
Each piece takes on its own
character and is evolved from
random pieces.
I am awash with screw tops, bottle tops cans, any number of things which have potential for
re-use. All carefully batched, but growing in number.
